The Jean Pigozzi Collection Of Contemporary Japanese Art

Hiroki Niimi / 新美 宏樹

Born in 1985 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Lives and works in Tokyo and Aichi, Japan.

Artist Hiroki Niimi graduated from Tama Art University in 2014 and began his artistic practice while working as an art director on creative projects including advertisements.

Niimi takes his interest in American minimalist art and conceptual art as his original experience, and in synchronizing this with the commercial persona of a graphic designer and art director, he attempts to transform art history from an extremely market-oriented perspective in the relationship between artist and viewer.
